I'm currently in a rented minivan being driven by aij along with rstrickl, jcreed, chrisamaphone, mbrewer, and ntr. We are using Ivan's T-Mobile phone to connect to the Internet, and then I'm broadcasting it over 802.11. This took surprisingly little configuration, considering that we seem to be encapsulating IP over PPP over emulated serial over emulated infrared over bluetooth, and thence through an emulated modem out onto the GPRS network.
Also, we're going to the XKCD meetup. Yay!
